Tulum isn’t a bad spot for families either. Though it is really a better spot for families with older children who may be interested in activities like snorkeling, diving or exploring historical sites.

Which Has Better Nightlife?

Tulum has a lot to offer when it comes to nightlife, but it cannot compare to Cancun. There is a reason that college kids love Cancun for spring break. The city offers tons of options for nighttime entertainment.

Tulum may be smaller, but when it comes to affordability, it really isn’t a deal. Because there are so many small, boutique hotels, and many tourists come for the wellness opportunities, resorts tend to charge a premium.

Cancun has such a wide variety of dining options that you will have a different choice for every night of your stay. However, because the focus for restaurants is tourists, the food quality tends to be lower, and more Americanized.
