2. Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak Fire Dance

The Uluwatu Temple, perched on a 70-meter-high cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks. With incredible views, especially during sunset, this is a great spot to get a glimpse of the Balinese Hindu culture: the iconic Kecak Fire Dance. 

Every evening, from 6 to 7 PM, this dance performance takes place inside the Uluwatu temple complex. A group of 65+ human vocals acts as instruments that strengthen the stories of the Hindu epic, Ramayana, told in the form of dance. It’s one of the most impressive experiences, making Uluwatu a must-visit when coming to Bali, Indonesia.

3. Vibrant Nightlife and Beach Clubs

Uluwatu’s nightlife is lively and diverse, with something for every type of night owl: from the laid-back beach clubs like Ulu Cliffhouse and Single Fin, known for its legendary nights with live DJs, to chic rooftop bars and lounges with incredible ocean views.

From atop, these cliffs offer some of the most stunning views, looking out over the expansive ocean and its beaches below. Take some time to visit the viewpoint on the northern tip of Balangan Beach, with a panoramic view over the 200-meter-wide beach and the surfers out on the water. 

Alternatively, if you have time, head out to Karang Boma Cliff, a jaw-dropping 70-meter-high limestone cliff that stands straight into the ocean. This one lies close to the Uluwatu Temple and is a fantastic place to visit before sunset.

6. Trendy Boutiques and Shopping
